Last Know Good Configuration is use not to recover your system but to restore it from the last date where it worked fine or before any issues started. It is different from system recovery which is bringing back your computer to its original settings just like when you first bought it. Usually, we use Last Known Good Configuration if:

  1. A download might have affected the system performance
  2. The system just stopped working properly without any known reasons
  3. We just want to go back to the date where the system worked without any issues instead of recovering it and losing our important files in the end of the process
