Hi. I am using Windows 8.1. I want to allow auto login Windows 8.1 on my PC. What are the steps that need to followed? Thanks in advance.

Hi. The steps to use auto login windows 8.1 are as follows-

1) Click on start and then select run

2) After run opens, type regedt32.exe in the space provided and select Enter

3) Locate the Hkey_local_machine in the registry

4) Double-click on Defaultusername and type the username. Click on OK

5) Double-click on Defaultpassword and type the password. Click on OK

6) To add the Defaultpassword, in the edit menu, click on new and then point to a string value. Type the defaultpassword and press OK. Then double-click on the defaultpassword option and after typing the password, click on OK.

7) Go to the edit menu and click on new. Then point to a string value

8) Type in the autoadminlogon and click Enter

9) Double-click on autoadminlogon

10) Then, type 1 in the edit string box and then click on OK

11) Then, the registry editor should be exit

12) Then click on start, then, shutdown, and type the reason on the comment box

13) Select Ok to shut down the PC 14) Now, restart the computer so that you can log in automatically from the next time You can have another method-

1) Type run the search box

2) After the run box opens up, type netplwiz in the space provided

3) Click on the option named users and uncheck the option of users must enter username and password to use this computer and click on apply

4) A sign in automatically dialogue box will appear asking for your username and password to be entered twice. After you enter the credentials, click on OK

5) Then, restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
