When I ejected the USB flash drive on computer it  did not properly respond to commands, while commands to Safety Remove a new window pops up that reads "write protected-cannot remove USB drive". How to resolve this?

Remove your usb from your pc and try to look if there is a switch then unlock it. Then insert again the usb and if still having the same problem, try inserting your usb to any other computer. If still you are having the same problem. you may need to copy all the files on your drive or to other usb. Then reformat it. The write protection will be gone.  If still you are having the same problem, try these steps below.

– Click Start, then type regedit.exe and press enter
– Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrrentControlSetControlStorageDevicePolicies
– then search for "WriteProtect"
– If there is a value, change it to 0
– Change and repeat the value for all
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet00ControlStorageDevicePolicies
– Change all the value = 0

USB Drive Safety Remove Problem

When using a USB flash drive, that problem normally happens when the drive is still open in Windows Explorer or one of the files in the drive is still open or being used. To fix the problem, try closing all the programs running including any instance of the Windows Explorer.

After this, click on the “Safely Remove Hardware” green arrow icon on the system tray to eject the flash drive. See if this works. If this doesn’t work, try to log off your account then when you’re on the login screen, remove the USB flash drive from the USB port then log in back to your account.

Another way is to restart the computer then remove the flash drive while Windows is booting.
