I would recommend the HP Compaq L2105tm, which is currently the most affordable at $260 as compared with Dell ST2220T at $300 and the Acer T231H at $320.  The HP Compaq L2105tm also has a great display with resolutions of 1920 x 1080, a great design and a 2MP in-built camera.

Its touch-screen functionality is also very impressive as it supports Multi-touch gestures. Lastly, it is compatible with Windows 7, enables online help and support and it comes with a 3-year warranty. It will make for an excellent upgrade.

Hello James,

You will need to consider the following factors when selecting your touch screen:

The interface – Verify that the touch panels are able to communicate with the computer. Most interface types that you'll get include RS-32 and USB. You can as well get the HID-compliant touch screen that does not need drivers.

Mounting – You can choose a screen that uses panel mount, rack mount or one that is just free-standing. In case you go for a free-standing one, you will need to ensure that it uses a heavy duty stand for standard table bases may easily top over.

Screen size – You can get touch screens from 3.5" to 52" size. You also need to consider the aspect ratio.

Regards,

Carl
