Upgrade of Windows 7 64k

Hello everyone!

I am experiencing a problem with an upgrade for Windows 7 64k. To be precise, I have tried downloading from Digital River official site and I'm just getting the same message:

We are unable to create or save new files in the folder in which this application was downloaded. please check the folder properties to make sure that you have security permission on the folder to write files and that the folder is not ready-only.

I would really appreciate any kind of support on this problem because I have already lost a lot of time coping by myself.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Grace,

Follow the following procedure and see if you can fix the error:

  • Using windows 7/xp 32 bit, download the 64 bit version of windows 7 professional upgrade.
  • Using the installer, extract the files.
  • Check the file size of the folder "extendesSetup and move it to root folder (C:)
  • Download the following file and place it into C:WINDOWSSystem32

Download Link

  • In the command prompt, type the following:

oscdimg -bC:expandedSetupbootetfsboot.com -h -u2 -m -1WIN_EN_DVD C:expandedSetup C:7.iso

  •  Download ImgBurn and use to burn ISO
  • Boot the computer, install your windows 7 64 bit and then activate it.

Try the  above  procedure and see if it works for you.

Lee Hung.
