I just upgrade it my PC from Window XP to window 7 and my PC doesn't start up and not even in safe mode, I changed the boot to start from the CD drive and then from hard disk and not responding and the PC run for hours with Windows start. Now I can't even downgrade to XP anymore as it's not running the from CD.

Hi,

Before you did the upgrade, did you check the system specifications of your computer to make sure that it can work well with Windows 7? I highly suspect that the operating system may not be running after the upgrade because of compatibility issues. The computer you are using might be able to use only Windows XP and earlier versions.

If the above is not the case, you will need to make sure that the installation CD you used to perform the upgrade had no issues;

  • Make sure that the CD has got no scratches that might cause the data from it not to be read well.
  • Make sure that you are using a genuine CD. The problem might occur as a result of upgrading using a counterfeit CD.

Regards,

Carl
