I am a Sophos Internet Security Antivirus user.

For the proper defence of my computer I need a update of Antivirus.

But I do not know how update this Antivirus.

Now I require the update process to this antivirus.

It depends on your version but if it does not update automatically, you should download virus identity files (IDEs), which are available on the Sophos webpage. I guess you are using the basic version of SAV which is not automatically updating.

Update Sophos Antivirus for my PC Protection
If you don't have an updated Antivirus then it can cause problems to your PC. You can run a full scan to your PC as it will see for all virus and will remove all virus from your PC. Update is also used for this purpose and it is just up to date of Antivirus program but requires a fast internet connection to be completed.

Once you have updated the Antivirus then it is safer and more reliable. You can also update it by going to your antivirus program and by clicking the update link. This will automatically update your virus and it will become more powerful against virus. You can update your program regularly to insure that no virus infects your PC.

Update Sophos Antivirus for my PC Protection
You have not mentioned the version of your SOPHOS Internet Security Antivirus. By the way, there are available IDE or what they called the SOPHOS update of virus identity updates from the SOPHOS website.
Versions available for download are SOPHOS antivirus version 201106, SOPHOS antivirus version 201107 and SOPHOS antivirus version 201108. As of today they said IDE was just updated for the last 24 hours.
All you need to do is go to their website update which is http://downloads.sophos.com/downloads/ide/
Then download the IDE that is suitable for your installed SOPHOS antivirus.
For update installation, you may refer to their site for the guide.
