Since Adobe CS3 is a general binary that runs and operates on Intel Macs, it is a very important edition of Photoshop for Apple Mac. Many websites are giving positive testimonies and remarkable articles with CS3, particularly on the Mac Pro.

CS3 is much enhanced in on the whole speed given that it operates in native mode on the Apple Mac Pro, Even faster by 41 percent. Also when compared to CS2, the Retouch Artists test is 70% faster.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 is Adobe Photoshop 10. It was launched back in 2007. Though the list of new features for this version is not that long compared to the previous version, Photoshop CS2, there are several drastic changes and a redesigned interface.

In this version, the toolbox has been slimmed down to a single column of buttons rather than the 2-column design. But you can flip back to the 2-column version by clicking the double arrow at the top of the toolbox window.

For Mac users, this is the long awaited version because Photoshop CS3 becomes a universal Mac application allowing you to run it at native speeds on new Intel Macs. Another feature that made its debut is the Smart Filters. This is the most requested feature in Photoshop and these types of filters have been available in other image editing software for a long time but not with Photoshop.

Before you can apply a smart filter, you have to convert your layer to a smart object. Before downloading and installing Adobe Photoshop CS3, check the system requirements first and verify that your computer meets those requirements. Photoshop CS3 supports Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista (Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise edition).

It requires Intel Pentium 4 or faster processor, 512 MB RAM, video card with 64 MB video RAM, 1 GB free space, 1024 x 768 minimum screen resolution, QuickTime 7 for multimedia features, and internet connection for product activation and other online services. For Macintosh, it supports OS X 10.4.8 Tiger until 10.5 Leopard.

It requires PowerPC G4 or G5 or multi-core Intel processor, 512 MB RAM, video card with 64 MB video RAM, 2 GB free space, 1024 x 768 minimum screen resolution, QuickTime 7 for multimedia features, and internet connection for product activation and other online services.
