We are using Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) in our company. Recently, we have installed the new version of UAG in our newly installed Windows 7, but got the following error messages: “The configuration cannot be located from Force front TMG storage” and “An unrecoverable error has occurred. The application will close.” What can I do to fix this? Help me to solve these problems.

Thanks.

Unrecoverable Error in Microsoft UAG

Hi Sean,

This issue occurs after changing the configuration in the Network Interface.

As:

1. Changed in the Internal IP address.

2. Try to remove Default Gateway from External Interface & adding to Internal Interface so that they can browse the Internet to download a driver.

3. Please uncheck "IP Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)".

In such cases, "Network connections" service is not started, other services are not able to startup properly. If you have not made any changes and you are getting this error, you can manually restart the "Microsoft Forefront TMG Storage" service else you have to reset TCP/IP on your server.

Resolutions for the issue:

  • Please take a backup of IP configuration on all network interfaces.

  • Backup the Routes.
  •  You need to have physical access to your server. For that, open cmd (command prompt) and type "netsh int IP reset".

Check out this link:-

4. Now, restart the server.

5. Reconfigure the network interface and add routes as needed.

By resetting TCP/IP may solve your issue.
