Hi TechyV buddies!

I am having some problem with CRM 2011 Outlook client. I have installed it correctly and found nothing wrong after installing it. My contacts were updated and it works well without any issue popping out.

However, when I tried to track an email  using CRM, an error appeared. The error is this:

“An unknown error occurred while synchronizing data to Outlook.”.

I have tried to check what this problem was by checking the log directory. However, I found nothing suspicious on it. And so, I opened the diagnostic tool of CRM 2011 outlook client and enabled the tracing.

I had to get more information about the issue so I tried tracking an email again and end up getting the same error. I did not find anything suspicious or maybe I don’t know how to locate the error so I am asking for help to anyone.

I have also tried to find any solution in the web but I found nothing. Can you please help me locate the problem to this issue? I will greatly appreciate the effort. Thank you!

If Microsoft CRM 2011 is working fine before and this problem never happened before, try restarting your computer then try it again. See if the task you want to do will work now after the system has been restarted.

You may also try reinstalling Microsoft CRM 2011 to fix any corrupted files that may have developed when the program was first installed.

Uninstall Microsoft CRM 2011 then restart your machine when asked. After booting, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.

For a much thorough diagnostics test on your machine, use disk utility applications like PC Tools Performance Toolkit, Norton Utilities, or Norton SystemWorks. Install the program again then see if this fixes the problem.
