Hello Steve,

There could be several reasons for getting that error, for instance and antivirus program may be preventing Outlook from sending automatic emails, the address book could be corrupted, or outlook might have failed to autocomplete cache.

To resolve it, you will need to do the following:

  1. First, you will need to clear the Outlook auto-complete cache. You will do that by typing the following command in Windows Explorer: %APPDATA%MicrosoftOutlook. That will open your Outlook Application Data folder, and then you will look for a file called Outlook.NK2 – select it & delete it.
  2. You will need to disable other running programs. You will need to disable the antivirus or firewall program and check if it works.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Carl

Hi there,

This problem cause because of two reasons

1st your mailbox located at 2003 server

So to avoid this message create your profile manually, to create profile manually follow these steps;

Step 1 Open the mail control panel

Step 2 click on the show profile

Step 3 Click add in mailbox

Step 4 Enter name for your profile (what you prefer) then click ok

Step 5 in this step you need to Tick “manually Configure server settings or additional server types” and click next

Step 6 Select Microsoft exchange and click next

Step 7 Enter your Exchange server name and verify the username and click next

Step 8 Click Finish

Step 9 Start Outlook

Your problem is solved

Hi.

To resolve your problem verify that you can connect to internet. If you there is no problem with your internet connection, delete all your e-mails in Outlook and open Accounts menu from Tools options. There re-enter your user data ( username and password ). Also make sure that outgoing and incoming server are same. Close Outlook and open it again. Also download Outlook hotfix script from Microsoft and run it on your computer. You can find it here Outlook hotfix tool.

Hello!

Your problem occurs when both conditions are true:
1.Your mailbox is located on an Exchange 2003 mailbox server.
2.You are using the Auto Account Setup process to create your Outlook 2010 profile.

To fix your problem, Install the August 31, 2010 hot fix package for Outlook 2010
you can download it here: http//support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-US;2281463

Hi,

To fix this error, all you have to do is changing decimal symbol to . (dot).  To do so:

1.    Open Control Panel, click Clock, Language, and Region, and then click Region and Language.

2.    Click the Formats tab, and then click Additional settings.

3.    In the Decimal symbol field, type . (dot), and then click OK two times.

4.    Restart the computer.
