Unhandled Exception on Update Properties in MS SharePoint

This is a bug in the Microsoft products of 2010 and they have released a hot fix for it. Just download it from the internet and you will be happy for it. Install it and all the errors will be gone. However do the following steps just to try solve the problem without the fix.

  1. Download and install the latest .Net framework.
  2. Make sure that the worksheet path is properly used everywhere.
  3. You specified that the file was last modified by the user; it means that he has done something wrong to the file. Try reverting back the file to its original state and see if it helps.
  4. Ask that specific user what changes has he made which has caused the problem. After that you can address the problems.
