Hi everyone,

I am having 46" Sony BRAVIA V-Series LCD HDTV (model: KDL-46V4100) and I am trying to setup my Roku with surround sound and selecting 5.1 audio in Netflix. But, I am getting error on the TV that the audio signal is not supported. I have connected these using HDMI cables.

Does anybody else have the same issue? How can I use surround sound 5.1 on Netflix in my TV? Please suggest me a solution. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey Deborah,  think your HDTV cannot decode the sound surround source. Usually in a BluRay device it would naturally have the Dolby Digital sound which can be decoded by the A/V receiver. However the NVIDIA graphics card isn’t by any chance near the specifications of a sound card whichever you turn it out. It can pass by the grace of the Lord the audio but is not really capable of any decoding. Anyway, here is another workaround, try to open Corel WinDVD BD and try to right click the Corel screen and choose Setup. Now, in the audio video setup tab select Digital Out Disable audio bypass to the external processor.
