Unable to uninstall Folderlock – “error 0x801F0004”

I can’t seem to get rid of folder lock and the locked file it created. I recently installed folder lock and I used the program to secure one of my files, which made a file with .flk extension. Eventually I wanted to remove the program and tried uninstalling it through my control panel but I get an “error 0x801F0004”. Has anyone else thought of a way of getting through this? Thanks!

Hello Michael,

I read your problem. This is occurred because of some mistakes which caused by you. You can only uninstall this software by unlocking all the files you made up. This is causing because of the software, which knows there is still some locked files in it, and if you uninstall the software you can't get rid of this problem. Here the application gives priority to your files. You can not open those files if you uninstall it.

So my advice is, if you want to uninstall this software first you want to unlock these files. If you wont you will regret after this process. Be sure in this, if you still getting the same error you may go to the following URL which tells you how to perform a clean boot. And then try to uninstall the software.

I hope you get the answer. Have a nice day.
