Hello John,

You did not encounter any such viruses if ever virus occur and that means you do not have Antivirus installed on your both PC. Then you need to install first scan if ever. But I do not think so.

Now what you have to do is go to the other PC you need to control remotely the registry. First Click "Start Button" Click Run or for shortcut key just press "Window R" on your keyboard.

Then this will popup, and type "services.msc" and Click "Ok".

Then Scroll down and look for "Remote Registry". Then Right Click on it.

And select the "Properties" and now it looks like this.

Now notice Service status: Stopped and below buttons "Start" and others are grayed. Because on Startup type: notice is disabled now you need to drop down list button and select "Automatic".

And now buttons are not grayed then Click the button "Start" then click button "Apply" and OK.

Then there you go try it again. error no more.

What happens is when you want to open the remote registry services using the services applet you might receive the following error message.

To overcome this problem try the following steps:

1. Type Services.msc in the Start menu Run box.

2. Check where it is located and then double click the remote registry services from the located list.

3. Now there select the Log on tab.

4. There appears a box , in This Account Text box type in, "NT AUTHORITY LOCAL SERVICES".

5. Leave two of the password fields blank.
