Unable to reinstall MS Office 2013

Hi all,

I am using Dell – Inspiron 7000 Series 15.6" Touch screen Laptop and it is simply great. I am having Microsoft Office 2013 in it. It was working fine so far.

But, this week it was creating lots of issues. It uses to get stuck suddenly and causing my system to crash. So I had decided to reinstall that. First, I have Uninstalled MS Office 2013 but while reinstalling it, I am getting error saying that it encountered as an error during setup. It is not showing any error code, but just the message. I have rebooted the system several times with and without safe mode but no luck.

What could be the reason? Did anybody face the same issue? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello Arthur,

Sometimes when you reinstall there are fragment of previous installation which remains back in your system. Those are the main issues when you get these kind of setup issues. Microsoft provides a guide of uninstalling the Microsoft Office properly. Please follow below link.

Uninstall Microsoft Office

These instructions can be complicated, You should try the "Fix it" functionality provided on the same page.

Also use a software to clean your system with temporary file and registries. It is always a good approach to when you uninstall a device or application from your system..!!
