Hi. I am having problems on receiving mails through icloud. I’m not sure if it’s because there is no imap path prefix on the advanced settings of iCloud. I already checked the port 993 and the SSL box but it keeps saying “Server Issues. Do you want to stay off line?” and my password will be rejected. What else should I do so I can receive mails again? It was working before. I don’t know what happen.
Unable to receive mails via iCloud
Hello Anthony,
Use the following steps to resolve that issue:
-
Go to the Mail menu and then choose Preferences.
-
In the Preferences window, click the Accounts tab.
-
And then go to the Accounts list and select your iCloud email address.
-
Click the Account Information tab.
-
And then verify your SMTP server settings with the following information:
-
Incoming Mail Server: imap.mail.me.com
-
User Name: Your iCloud email address
-
Password: Your iCloud password
-
After that click the Advanced tab and verify the following additional settings:
-
Port: 993
-
Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL): Should be enabled
-
Authentication: Password
Regards,
Carl
