Unable to proceed to play the videos

Hello Experts,

I was unable to proceed to play the videos downloaded in my laptop Toshiba L500. This is ridiculous why is it can’t play this video even I have software VLC media player that computer shop attendant installed it. I’m freeze with this media plug-ins, do I have to cancel this dialogue box appear in my screen because I’m afraid that this might ruin the other programs. By the way the videos that I like to play with is divx format. Please help me with this problem. Thanks in advance!

Hello Rexan,

Are you sure that you are using the latest version of the vlc media player? Because from the error message that you have posted above it seems like your media player lacks the codecs that support the divx format are some others that have also been mentioned.

I will therefore suggest that you download the latest version of the vlc media player and install it and see if it will play the videos without any problems In case it refuses, you can also try other alternative media player like the KMplayer, and also the divx media player which have support to a wide range of video format including the divx format.
