Unable to plot a drawing on Map3D 2012 when AutoCAD2012 is installed

Whenever I plot a drawing on Map3D 2012 I encounter this error message “you cannot use multiple instances at the same time” after which the plot is cancelled. This problem just started recently because I even had the AutoCad 2012 installed and both worked perfect. Since I not made any changes to the printer settings, plots files and styles, I really do not know where the problem is, anybody who can help me fix this?

Hello Sjohn,

As far as I'm concerned, You should recreate the PC3 from scratch or if this doesn't work ,then try to deactivate the variable BACKGROUNDPLOT, each time does just one plot, Finish AutoCAD, restart it and reactivate it. And also setting the background to zero will work too but if you put it back in one, then it will bring the error back.

I really hope this works for you.

Regards.

Hi there Sjohn,

The error you're getting is the generic error basically saying that you are trying to use the file in two or more different programs at the same time. In order to make things work you will have to remove all the older programs you were using and to limit yourself to only Map3D.
