Hello Team,

I want to listen to my favorite song on my new laptop. My laptop is pre installed with windows media player 11 software.  When I tried to play the song in windows media player, I was given an error message with code C00D1199.

Please check if there is any bug with the player and kindly resume my media player so that I can listen to my music.

Thank you.

Hello Hannahwtc,

I have read the issue about your problem. So you receiving C00D1199 error code. Usually this error because :

–  The file you play is corrupted

– Windows Media Player not support to play the file

– The file type is supported by the Windows Media Player, but the codec isn't not supported

The solution are :

1. Check your file, is it corrupted or not,

2. If Windows Media Player not support to play the file, find the software can play the file. For the example file type .mov only for QuickTime player. But I recommend K-Lite Codec Pack http://www.free-codecs.com//www.free-codecs.com/download/k_lite_codec_pack.htm . It's powerful player.

Hope this solution help you.

Cheers!

Hello Hannahwtc.

This is not a very big problem dear. This code means windows media player can not play this file. Either windows media player does not support the format of your music file or windows media player is unable to read it. Windows media player can not play all types of music files. It only supports mpeg-1 type files. But can not play mpeg-2 or wmv type files. Go to your music files and select properties. See what type of file it is. Now you can do three things.

Number one, download a converter and convert this music files. You can download suitable converters from http://www.pconverter.com/index.jhtml

Number two, download plug-ins for windows media player. I would suggest you to use InterVideo DVD XPack plug-in. This will help windows media player to play any kinds of dvd files. But you have to close other programs before installing this plug-in.

Number three, download another music player that supports your music file. I would suggest you to use GOM player. This is a very good player for wmv and mpeg-2 type files.

Thank you for your question.
