Hi TechyV Experts,

I tried to encrypt USB media device with Ubuntu and received an error message.

The screenshot of the error message is as under. I have no idea for the error message.

If you have any idea for the issue, please help me to get a remedy.

Jessielucyy,

Take note there are many possibilities that may happen during the start up or installing a certain device. In your case the machine system cannot lock you device, so that it will not let you even read or write on you flash drive. Some cause of this also is the driver installation of your flash drive, it may not be properly installed or you device is losing or you device is not formatted well. Solution for this is: 1. Re- insert your flash drive. 2. Scan and fix your USB. 3. Defrag you usb device. 4. Restart you machine system.
