Hello everyone in TechyV!

I've reinstalled this application but I get the same message. I think perhaps my .exe file is corrupted. Does anybody know where to get this specific component? Can you download this online? If not, please suggest other ways to solve this error. Thank you very much for helping!

This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem

It tells you thatMSVCR71.dll is missing in your application, so you need to download or get the MSVCR71.dll and install it. To do this try to uninstall the program and then get or download the latest to the internet and then install it.

If file is still missing try to download that MSVCR71.dll here Download Link after download paste in to your system32 directory, if you don’t know where is the system32 go to Computer – > Click Local Disk C: then open windows folder the find system32 folder then open it then paste the dll there. If it still don’t work Click Start then type run and then type the following code below:

  • regsrv32 C:WINDOWSsystem32msvcp71.dll

And then click OK. The a message will appear that it will registered successfully. Hope it works for you.

Hi,

Main causes of this error are those programs which removed and misconfigured this file. However the solution to this problem is very easy. I will give you several solutions and you can try them one by one to solve this issue. Here are the solutions:

1. May be your file is infected by any virus. In this case you can install a good antivirus and scan the full computer. It will remove the error. I will suggest you to use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus.

2. You can also restore your system to some earlier date at which your computer was working well.

3. If you have installed a program which causes this error, try to uninstall it and then reinstall the program.

4. May be your drivers are out date. Please update all the out dated drivers.

5. Install recent windows updates.

6. Download and install any registry cleaner software and run a full scan. After scanning just fix the error.

7. You can repair your windows using windows recovery process.

8. If any of the above mentioned did not solve the issue you can reinstall your copy of windows.
