Unable to execute file Regedit CreateProcess failed code 2

I have bought a final version of Cucusoft iPhone Tool Kits and got it with Lifetime Upgrades. After I get it downloaded I started installing it on my windows 7 OS with 64 bit pc. Then it happens.

While the installation process is going, I get the following error window saying.

CreateProcess failed; code 2

Unable to execute file:

Regedit

CreateProcess failed; code 2.

The system cannot find the file specified.

Do you have any idea? I contacted the vendor, but they advised me reinstalling the program.

I did so twice, but all went in vain. Do you think you can help?

Please help if you can.

Hi Gran!

It is possible that the installation failed because you need to run it as an administrator, or the presence of a virus in your computer and it disabled the Registry Editor. I suggest that try out these actions.

  1. Restart your computer, if you haven’t done it yet.
  2. Run the installer as an Administrator.
  3. If running as an administrator failed, start a whole computer virus scan. Some viruses can block the installation process.
  4. Enable the Registry Editor. Start the command prompt, type in “reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /f”, and exit. Make sure you type in the command correctly.
