Hi,

I am unable to edit program in eclipse as It gives me an error which is mentioned below.

Could not open the editor: No editor descriptor for id org.eclipse.cdt.ui.editor.CEditor

I think the program itself has a problem and not with the file you are editing. Try doing another clean installation of the software again to restore it to its default configuration and remove or fix any corrupted files that may have developed in the program in the long run.

Uninstall Eclipse from your computer then restart your system when asked. After booting, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.

For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities, or Norton SystemWorks. Install the software again after this and then check it if this fixes it.
