Unable to drag image on my Adobe Photoshop CS3

Before I formatted my computer and installed a new license Windows 7 operating system, I have installed a pirated Adobe Photoshop CS3 in my computer and I am able to drag an image on it to open the image file.

And now I am using a single exe file of Adobe Photoshop CS3 in my USB drive, and I cannot open image file by dragging.

Help me please.

As you install an Adobe Photoshop CS3, or in any version or in any applications, your installation creates file association in your operating system. File association serves as the identifier where the document or files has been made. That is why when you double click a file for example a file with an extension of DOC it will automatically open on Microsoft Word if you have installed a Microsoft word in your computer.

File association works as a link between the Application and the Document created on it. Without the file association, you can not open directly your file or document on your windows explorer.

A portable application does not create a file association. As what you have cited on your submitted issue, the file is a single exe file, and it is located in your USB drive. 99.9 percent I am sure that you are using the Portable Adobe Photoshop. Meaning you doesn’t have an Adobe Photoshop file association in your operating system.

To solve your problem is to install an Adobe Photoshop CS3 inside your operating system and stop using the Portable application.
