I got a Samsung SMART TV and I have set it up for wireless internet connection. It shows it is connected to wireless. but it takes time to access the apps. Eventually, it will prompt that there is no network connectivity available. Are there further settings needed to be checked?

Are you able to connect other devices to your wireless router. You have not provided the details of your internet service provider and modem with TV model. Try following.
1. Remove your Samsung TV from the list of device you have added to router. Make sure your device is in Range and not interfering with other devices.
2. Change parental controls of router gateway. Login to the site of your ISP.
3. Try connecting it again.
Also try to change your WiFi channel, that can make the difference.
