Hi Troubleshooter,

After the system update when I try to access the folder in the network, I got this error message. The error message says, “You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission. The specified network name is no longer available. Please help me to resolve this network problem.

Open Folder

\isannovklshare is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

The specified network name is no longer available.

If you are accessing the folder in a local area network, it is possible that the owner of the folder may have changed the folder’s name to something else that’s why it is no longer accessible. If you know the workstation where the folder is supposedly located, you may ask the person who uses that workstation if the folder you are accessing is still available or it was renamed.

If the folder was deleted by the user then there’s no use accessing it. But if the directory was only renamed to something else, just replace “klshare” with the new name, for example “sharedfolder”, when mapping the folder. Make sure to enter the name as it is to be able to access the new folder on your computer.

You can also ask your network administrator to assist you when mapping the new folder on your computer. Mapping a network drive or a folder can sometimes be confusing especially for beginners or for users who don’t normally map network drives.
