Hi guys I have an ubuntu system. I have a question how can it play rar media files in ubuntu. Is there a software for ubuntu rar media player. Thanks for helping me out

RAR files aren't playable files. They are actually a packages of files that have to be extracted before the use.Â

To extract the RAR archive you will need a small software. The most common is WinRAR. It's a free software which will once you install it give you the option (via right click on the file) to unrar it.

Once your media files are unpacked, you can normally play them using your favorite player.
