Ubuntu detect wireless networks in my vicinity
These kind of problems I suspect have something to do with viruses.
First of all try to upgrade your virus software to the latest version. Then scan your system for viruses.
If the problem remains unsolved, it could have been caused by a software you just installed. Check your recently installed software and uninstall any suspicious software you just installed.
The next step is to upgrade your Operating System hereby upgrading your WLAN driver.
I hope I was able to answer your question.
