I want to use Registry Editor to turn on automatic log into the system. How can I turn on auto log in to use the registry editor? What are the steps?

Follow these steps to turn on auto log in to use the registry editor:

(i) Click start and then click on Run.

(ii) A box opens, type regedt32.exe

(iii) Press Enter.

(iv) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersionWinlogon is a key which you have to locate in the registry.

(v) In the default, username enter your user name and then click OK. Repeat the process for the password.

(vi) Edit menu opens, click New.

(vii) Type AutoAdminLogon.

(viii) Press enter.

(ix) Then type 1 in Edit String dialog box

(x) Click OK.

Exit Registry Editor.
