Hello,

I have a Kubuntu Karmic install and am trying to import svg from the Open Clip Art site, and seen the error below. I searched for the solution from the internet but could not find. Can you provide me solution to resolve this error? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there Michael J Gould,

The first thing to do is to check if the Openclipart server is working. You can do that easily by opening the openclipart.com in your browser. If the server is down, please, wait for a while and then try again.

There used to be a bug that was causing this error. If your system or software is out of date, this could be the reason why you're getting the error. You can easily fix that by installing the libgnomevfs2-extra package. The package can be found on the following link: https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=libgnomevfs2-extra.
