On Windows XP SP3, I use Ovi Suite. Today I went to update it from 2.0.1.35 to 2.0.2.42. But unfortunately I failed to even download the update. The following error appeared then.

Due to an unknown internal error, installation could not be started. Error code:4. Try restarting Nokia Ovi Suite to correct the problem. If that does not help try restarting the computer

I can’t fix it up.

First uninstall Nokia Ovi Suite from your computer, install it again and then run the update. If it still shows the error, uninstall Nokia Ovi Suite and download the latest version from their website.

If the problem still persists, follow the steps mentioned below:
 
1. Run Windows Update.
2. After Windows has finished installing the important updates, restart the computer.
3. Download the latest version of Nokia Ovi Suite from the following URL and install it. 
 
 
Restart the computer again and see if it works now.
 
If no luck, then contact Nokia customer support for further help.

Check your version of windows is up to date and also try uninstalling completely the program an reinstall the program, if compatibility errors occurred (If you are using Windows 7) Right click on the icon after installing the program then click on Properties > Compatibility > tick on "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and then select Windows XP in the drop down menu.

Hope it will work.
