Hey! Where did the JAVA language really came from and who first used it? I was really puzzled between the dispute of Google and Oracle over the JAVA patent.

Coffee was began as a venture known as "Oak" by Wayne Gosling in 1991, May. Gosling's objectives were to apply a exclusive device and a terminology that had a well-recognized C-like note however with bigger consistency and convenience than C/C++It designed the guarantee of "Write Once, Run Anywhere", with free run-times on extensive systems. It absolutely was quite protected and its protection was configurable, making system and computer file accessibility be limited.

However it soon withdrew from the technique. Coffee continues to be a exclusive DE fact routine that's managed through the Coffee Group technique. Sun makes most of its Coffee implementations out there at no cost, with income being produced by specific product like the Coffee Business System.

Hi Finlay,

James Gosling, Mike Sheridan, and Patrick Naughton were the co-creators of java, where James Gosling is known as the Father Of java. The language was first called Oak, because of an Oak tree that stood outside Gosling's office. Then it was later named to Java because the creators consumed a large amount of Java coffee. The major capability they gave to this language is that you can write this code once and can be run anywhere. It is platform independent, unlike C/C++. This is known as the "Write Once, Run Anywhere" (WORA)" feature. The Sun Microsystems released the first implementation of java. Later Sun Microsystems was acquired by Oracle and now, the patent of java resides with Oracle.

Hope it helps.
