Hello,

I configured network proxy through "network proxy" in preference submenu of system.

I have downloaded and setup dropbox correctly.

But when I try to connect this error appeared. Why is it so I have also configured it in my lappy and it's working just fine

but i'm getting this message in desktop.

Thanks.

Error

Trouble connecting to Dropbox servers. Maybe your internet connection is down, or you need to set your http_proxy environment variable.

Hi Mailey30

It seems you have an internet start up problem. Internet connectivity usually takes more time for the Fedora Linux operating systems. As a result of this, drop box will be there for a time trying to connect and cannot do so. Reason being is that drop box is defaulted to start up immediately after you turn the computer on. When there is no connectivity, drop box cannot start. Therefore, I recommend you change the drop box setting to delay the time it takes for drop box to start up. When the time is delayed, this will give Fedora Linux more time to get connected.

Hi,

I will help to solve your problem with Dropbox in Linux. First check that, you have a direct connection to the internet. If you are in office, then it could be the case that you are using a proxy to access Internet. Open Dropbox and go to options. Change the connection settings for Internet there for Dropbox and apply. Now try to connect. It should not show any errors.
