Trouble with Paper Jam in Printer

My printer is having a paper jam error. It commanded me to open the cover and remove the paper. I just did as what it said.

Now I have removed all paper from the roller  but the error continued to show. I could not go on printing because of that.

I’ve had this problem before but was fixed after having removed the jammed paper.

Please help me how to fix this problem.

Bro, Generally this paper jam issue goes off when you remove paper & restart the printer. But if the problem continues to show then that means your roller has been jammed with a little bit of paper. If it is leaser printer then just open the font cover, check if there is any scrambled paper in or under it. If so remove it & problem fixed.

I had the same problem with my cannon laser printer so i opened the back roller box of the printer & then brushed it a little & then again shut it. The problem was gone. so try it. & if these does not work then tell me the model of the printer….

I believe it is inevitable that, while working with printer you will face paper jam error.

As you are saying that you have tried normal procedures already then it could be some other issues with the printer.

You can follow instructions given below

1. At first you should Turn off the printer.

2. Then remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.

3. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.

4. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it

5. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

6. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though.

7. Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

8. If you continue receiving a printer jam error try repeating the above steps again. If issue still persist and you see no paper that is stuck in the printer it's likely your printer is experiencing another hardware issues and I suggest you to contact with the printer manufacturer for additional assistance or repair.

If the above methods did not work then

1. Disconnect the printer from power source

2. Disconnect it from the USB cable

3. Then open printer drum/cartridges/back cover

4. Then see if there is any paper in it.

5. If not then just put it on line again & see if the problem has disappeared.

Disconnecting is needed because some times your printer command circuit just keeps the error report in it and it hangs up. So disconnecting it for around 10 minutes may also do the magic.

Cause then the power in it will be drained & command will be gone….
