Hi,

Active X is a Microsoft framework for defining reusable software components. Certain applications need the Active X to work properly. Your DLink web camera needs this application to work.

You can go ahead and download the ActiveX from the official Microsoft website. It will not harm your computers performance. Once you have downloaded the ActiveX, Please make sure your Antivirus Firewall is not blocking the ActiveX application. If it is blocking, you’ll have to create a
new rule on your Firewall to allow the ActiveX.

Please note that the ActiveX usually come along with the driver CD of the camera.
Please check the CD and you may find the ActiveX setup.

Thanks and regards,

Skarbos Jay.
