I just created a trial account for Google Apps for Business and totally confused how to use it. I wanted to use Google's email services to receive/send emails from my hosted email address, but for some reason I ended up creating a new email account instead. My question is how I can get my existing hosting email address to be forwarded to this new email address.

Hi Chris, by default the Google Apps servers will deliver the e-mail directly to the inbox of the client. However, if the default message is forwarded to an unknown recipient – that is to say the user who is not existing at all. Thus, the mail server discards or terminate the message. This method will correct the issue you are having. Sign in to your Google Administrative console. Click the user profile then in the E-mail routing section click the Add another destination. Deselect the Change the SMTP envelope check box if you don’t want the Google Apps to update the recipient address when it forwards the e-mail. Try to deselect also the Inherit routes from the domain. Lastly, try to disable also the option of the Google Apps E-mail. Click now the save change. Wait for an hour for all the changes to take effect through the Google systems.
