I received a "server not responding" and "Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) server host" is not known, an error through the Lotus Notes client. What is the meaning of this and how I can solve it?

To troubleshoot that problem, you will need to do the following:

  • With your lotus notes opened, you will need to go to File
  • And then click on Mobile
  • Followed by Edit current location.

The mostly like error to be causing that problem is that your ports have been mixed up or maybe you are having collisions on your local area network, and therefore you will need to check in the location above for such issues and correct them. But if that if the problem is not with lotus notes, you will need to monitor the protocol stacks and see if there is a problem with the network settings and correct them.
