It’s an easy process to synchronize the contacts of your system’s address book with your iphone contacts, but you have iTunes software installed at your system for communication with your iPhone hand set. If you haven’t the iTunes then you can install it from iTunes web site in connection with the latest version of iTunes.
Just click on synchronize option after attaching the device, and go for MERGE option, the system will prompt you and ask you for the GO-AHEAD, so click and start synchronization process. Once you synchronized the contact then you can proceed the matter to transfer a copy into your computer system.

To transfer you iPhone contacts to your iMac. I am suggesting you to use the software iMasoft for iPhone.
