I have my new iPhone 16GB and my MacBook. I wanted to transfer some photos from my MacBook into my iPhone 16GB using Bluetooth. I can do it easily using my old Nokia phone. But I don’t know how to do it with my new iPhone. How can I send files on my iPhone from my MacBook via Bluetooth? Or what other ways can you advise on transferring my files between my Apple devices? I need help. Thank you.

Halo Johnny Piper,

All you need to do to transfer files from your Mac Book to the iphone via Bluetooth is to first establish a Bluetooth connection between the two devices. You can search for the iphone using the Bluetooth on the Mac Book and then add on the Mac Book’s Bluetooth devices, but you will to make sure the Bluetooth on the iphone is turned on before you start searching using the Mac Book.

Once you have connected the two devices, you will just go to the file that you need to transfer to your iphone and then right click on it and then choose the option for sending via Bluetooth. You will just connect to the iphone and then send the file.

Hope this helps.

Hi Johnny,

If you have paired with a Bluetooth enabled device and have permission, you can b able to transfer files to the device or you can browse the Public Folder on the device. Also, in order for you to transfer files from your to your iPhone, make sure that your MAC has MAC OSX Lion . Now if you ensure that you are using OSX Lion, kindly choose "Send File" or "Browse Device" from the device listed in the Bluetooth Status menu in the menu bar.

Now, if the Bluetooth menu isn't visible, kindly choose Apple menu > System Preferences > Click Bluetooth > Select Show Bluetooth Status in the Menu Bar".

Now if you are using OSX Snow Leopard, you can "Sync" your photos from your MAC to your iPhone.

1. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed from your computer.

2. Open iTunes, click your device icon or "Device Name"  on the left side part of your screen under "Store".

3. Click the "Photos" tab.

4. Choose "Sync Photos from iPhoto or Aperture from the pope-menu".

5. If you want to sync all your photos, kindly enable the option for "All Photos, Albums, Events, and Faces".

6. Click Apply.

Hope this might be helpful to your question.

Goodluck,
