Touch screen problem in Nokia Lumia 630

I dropped a Nokia Lumia mobile down on to the hard floor when it was on. It fell down, but didn’t switch off and was functioning normally as intended. But after that incident, I have observed peculiar issue with the touch screen. If I touch somewhere it senses the touch somewhere else! I could believe that this is because I dropped the phone but this touch issue doesn’t happen all the time, also, if I lock and unlock the screen the issue disappears. So, my question is does this look like a hardware issue still or I can go ahead and claim warranty?

You want to check whether your lumia phone has been updated recently. I also own a lumia phone which was showing the same problem. It came with the inbuilt software version. My phone doesn’t drop from my hand.
The problem was now solved with the recent software update 8.1.
So first you install the latest software update from the software update option in settings.
Even after that the problem remains, and then you contact the service center for the warrant service.
