Well, this problem may be caused either by hardware error or too much pressure on the screen.

First, wipe the screen gently with a dry cloth and then by a mild detergent like colin.

Then, run the screen calibrator.

If the problem persists. Contact the nearest LG service centre. Your touch screen input is surely damaged.

Well, your problem is not unique at all, several cookie users find themselves in this problem. You can see it if you search google.

Hope,this solves your problem.

Hello Sajjad,

This problem is often seen with LG KP 500 cell phone. There is a grid of light beams behind the screen, when we touch at any point on the screen the light beam flow gets intercepted and a particular application is launched. The pixel values at that point decide which application to launch. This problem arises when pixel values correspond to the wrong application and does some unwanted task. So, the solution to this problem is very simple, you just need to update the phone software and the problem will be solved

This problem is not only with your LG phone but with my Samsung Champ also. It doesn’t happen always but there are times when you touch a certain spot on the screen, the result will appear in a different spot and this is very annoying especially when playing a Java game. I think this is common to resistive touchscreen devices.

With resistive touchscreen display, you have to apply a small amount of force when touching the screen to activate or select that spot. I’m not sure if there is a solution to this because this is the way the screen is built. Android phones use capacitive touchscreen display which is different with resistive touchscreen.

It works more accurately than resistive while allowing the user to change the sensitivity of the screen. With resistive touchscreen, you cannot change the sensitivity of the screen because it expects a force to be applied. If your phone includes a stylus, use it instead of your finger. This will allow you to touch areas on the screen more accurately.

My phone has a stylus and I use it sometimes when texting but there are times problem still happens. The issue here is really with the screen technology used. Anyway, here are the specs of your phone. The LG KP500 Cookie is a discontinued 2G Smartphone operating on 2G network band using GSM technology.

It was announced to the public on September 2008 and released on December 2008 measuring 106.5 x 55.4 x 11.9 millimeters and weighing 89 grams. It uses mini-SIM card. It has TFT resistive touchscreen display with 256K colors at 240 x 400 pixels screen resolution with flash UI and handwriting recognition. It supports microSD expandable up to 16 GB with 48 MB internal storage.

The primary camera supports 3.15 megapixels which can record video in 320p at 12 fps. There is no secondary camera, no 3.5-millimeter jack, no Wi-Fi, and no GPS. It has Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, stereo FM radio with RDS support, and USB 2.0. It has built-in accelerometer sensor. The pre-installed web browser supports WAP 2.0/XHTML and HTML.
