Toshiba Satellite L305D Laptop Fails to start up

Hi,

I have a Toshiba Satellite L305D laptop. When I put my laptop on, it does not go on.

When i press on the power button, the battery light on my laptop blinks 6 times and thereafter nothing happens. The laptop does not go on.

The color of the battery light is orange. I know for a fact that my laptop battery is not good anymore. I have not been using my laptop without it being plugged into power.

Yesterday, I plugged it in but it just did not want to start up. If the battery is no longer good the laptop should at least still work when plugging into a power outlet.

Is the power adapter maybe defect?

Please advice.

Hi

There are a lot of possible causes for this.

  1. Your battery is already dead and so is the power supply of your laptop. There's no possible way to determine it unless you see it personally, so you can try and have it checked by a technician to check what could be happening with your laptop.
  2. Determine if your power adaptor is still functioning; try using it on another laptop and see if it still works. If it does not, try replacing it to fix the problem
  3. Your broken battery could be affecting your PC and is rendering it unable to start up. Try removing the battery and running your PC just plugged in the outlet, or you can completely replace it.

Either way, the best thing to do is have a technician check it personally to determine the issue for a more accurate assessment.

You can go through these steps to solve your problem.

  • First of all check your power supply. Is it in working condition you can check it easily by applying it to some other laptop. Or if you can consult a technician he can tell this easily.
  • Once the power supply problem is solved then you can check for the battery. If the battery is damaged then your PC will not turn on and it can be a big problem.
  • So you need to do is to check your laptop battery and then if possible try it with another battery.
  • Now its comes the other components problem check for light plugs and other outlets that you are using with your laptop. And try to make them error free.
  • If the problem remains then there may be some problem in your laptop board so you need to check it also after you go through this process.

And i am sure you will be able to solve your problem.
