I am using php script convert avi to mp4 over the internet but the speeds are so low and it takes alot of space, can anyone out there post for me some link where i can find some external tools that can be invoked via php script for greater speeds.

If the internet is slow then you will just need to troubleshoot the problems with the internet connection to be able to successfully use the php script to convert avi to mp4. That a file that needs a lot of bandwidth to buffer and therefore whichever link you use, it will require that you have strong internet connection.
