Hi guys.  Some of the websites that I visit have Flash content that are slow to load (always buffering) but some are fast.  Is there a way to detect Flash Player bitrate to monitor bandwidth and the amount of data buffered?  Thanks in advance.

Hi,

While streaming, your connection is working very hard. Just a little packet jitter will make your data to arrive late. It's better not to use 100% of your upstream. You have to leave at least 25% of it. For Example, you have 2mbps upload speeds, and then it is safe to set your stream bitrate into 1400kbps.

At the link below, you can download the Flowplayer Flash to help you detect bandwidth and how to configure it.
