When I want to paste a new selection on a new window on Paint.Net I have this error message. If I try to paste the selection on the same window from where it was cut it works fine. I never experienced this error before and is something new for me. Can anyone help me to fix this ? Why I have this error on a new window when I try to paste or insert something ?

There was no clear solution on this though there are many Paint.NET users having the same problem with the clipboard. It seems that it is a possible bug on Paint.NET versions 3.5.6 and 3.5.7 because majority of the users have reported using these versions. Though your case is associated to Paint.NET 3.5.6, there are some users who have no problem using the clipboard in copying and pasting images in that version.
Since you are using an old version, it will help you if you will install the latest version, Paint.NET 3.5.11. Paint.NET 3.5.11 supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista Service Pack 1, Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. It also requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 which is already included in the package when you install Paint.NET.
Paint.NET 4.0 Beta is also available and can be downloaded from the same page. This version supports Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. It also requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 which is also included in the package. Try shifting to any of these versions and see if it works.
