I'd like to personalize my Core i3 Windows 8 PC. I would like to make the Arial font to be the default font on all visuals and applications on my computer. Is there an Arial text generator or do I mess up some codes in order to achieve this? Thanks.
Is there an Arial text generator for desktop?
Microsoft is heading towards a unified look and feel on Windows platforms, so they removed the feature of replacing font in Windows 8. But there is still a way to change it, just follow the instructions below.
In Windows 8, press windows button + R. This will open run command window.
Type regedit and press Ok.
Locate the following address "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersionFontSubstitutesMSShellDlg".Edit the current value and replace it with the font you would like to use.
Locate the following address "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersionFontSubstitutesMSShellDlg 2". Edit the current value and replace it with the font you want.
If you want to adjust the font size, just go to Control Panel → Video → Advanced Appearance, and change it there.
