Minimum System Requirements for Microsoft Project Server:

  • Computer with Pentium III 500MHz or higher processor
  • Windows 2000 Server with SP1 or later / Windows 2000 Advanced Server with SP1 or later
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or later / MSDE or Microsoft Desktop Engine
  • IIS or Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0 or later
  • 128 MB RAM is required but we recommend the 512 MB
  • If you have SharePoint Team Services then you’ll need an additional 128 MB of RAM although 192 MB is better
  • If you have SQL Server 2000, you will need an additional 64 MB of RAM but we recommend 128 MB instead
  • If you have the MS SQL Server Analysis Services, then an additional 64 MB RAM is required but the recommended RAM is 128 MB
  • 50MB of HDD free space for any typical installation but for each additional service installed, you will need an additional HDD free space as well
  • CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
  • Super VGA or higher resolution of monitor
  • Any compatible pointing device or mouse
