Is there any means for MS Outlook in searching filename attachments?

Hello,

I accept more or less 30 e-mails each day from one person. The message is blank with a .zip file attachment. The .zip file at all times has an exceptional name.

The first email I receive will include an attachment with a file name 1000512.zip. The following e-mail I receive will have an attachment with a file name 1000598.zip, and so on.

I transfer all these emails to a specific folder in Outlook. Yet, if I go into that specific folder file and attempt to search for 1000512, it does not result to anything.

Is there any means for MS Outlook in searching filename attachments?

The subject line is at all times similar and can't be modified, and the body of the email, at all times, is also similar and can't be modified as well.

I'm on Outlook 2007.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Janajacobb,

I have a solution for your problem as you know there is new search feature is made available in office 2007.

So, you can easily and fast can search more emails. To search particular attachment from senders you have to type this operator in your search box "from: (Sender's Name) hasattachments: true".

Here you can mention attachment no. you want to search.

Hi,

Actually option is there in ms outlook 2007. But you have to find it and then configure it as per your specific usage. All you have to do is just search all emails that have attachment, and then you can search any of you desired files. Either it is zip, rar, jpeg, xls or any other. You can set any criteria that benefit you from this option.
