Hi,

To know and fix an error you are facing; first of all you need to figure out what error you are receiving.

  • Error 1: You need to move Roomba to a new location and after that press clean to restart. This happens when Roomba has a side wheel hanging out or when it is stuck. To fix it you need to check the side wheels.
  • Error 2: You need to open Roomba’s brush cage and clean it. This happens when the main brushes fail to work. You need to check the Main brushes.
  • Error 5: You need to spin Roomba’s side wheels. This is encountered when the side wheel is stuck. You immediately need to check the side wheels.
  • Error 6:  You need to move Roomba to a new location and then press clean to restart. You see this when the cliff sensors are dirty, and the Roomba is stuck. You need to check the Roomba cliff sensors.
  • Error 9: You need to tap Roomba’s bumper to clean it. This is encountered when the bumper is compressed or dirty. You need to check the bumper.
  • Error 10: One needs to spin Roomba’s side wheels to clean them. This happens when the side wheel is stuck. You need to check the side wheels.
  • No Voice Message: This means that there is no obstacle; Roomba might be stuck in one place.
  • Error one four (1-4): You need to re-install bin and press clean to restart it. This happens when Roomba cannot detect an installed bin.
  • Error one eight (1-8): This suggests that Roomba cannot return to the starting position.
  • 4-tone song plays: This means that the battery is discharged.
  • “Please inspect and clean cliff sensor”: This suggests that the cliff sensors are dirty and you need to clean them.
  • “Please Clean Wheel”: This means that the side wheel is stuck. You need to clean them.
  • “Please clean brushes”: This suggests that the main brushes are dirty and cannot turn. You need to clean them.

If the messages persist, you need to contact iRobot Customer Care.
